INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE ROMANIAN ASSOCIATION OF BALNEOLOGY 2015


It will be held in the town of Băile Tușnad from 29 to 31 May and the main theme will be "The connection between the SPA potential and medical rehabilitation".



LOGO DE LA ASOCIACIONThis year, the Conference of Romanian Association of Balneology, edition 2015, with international participation, which will be held in Băile Tușnad from 29 to 31 May 2015.

The conference has as main theme "The connection between the spa potential and medical rehabilitation". Special guest of the conference will be Professor M Zeki Karagülle, President of the International Society of Medical Hydrology and Climatology (ISMH).

Also will participate in this important scientific event: Assoc. Prof. Olga Surdu, MD, PhD, senior physician RPM and Balneology , Ovidius University of Constanta, Balneal and Rehabilitation Sanatorium of Techirghiol, Constanta and Vice President of FEMTEC; Dr. Jacek Chojnowski, President Polish Association of Balneology; Lecturer Dr. Dan Blendea, President Medical Rehabilitation Commission. Ministry of Health and of the Station Thermale Hammam Chellala, Mr.Taoutaou Ammar , Directeur Technique (Hammam Debagh / Guelma) and Beleitar Ahmed, Médecin thermaliste. (Héliopolis / Guelma).

According to Organizing Committee, will be a special occasion to debate issues of interest in spa tourism and scientific research, the development prospects being highlighted in this field.

The conference will highlight the role of Romania in the world of spa tourism and this event will be a preamble for Congress ISMH 2016 to be held in Bucharest.

The International Conference of Romanian Association of Balneology 2015 will be chaired by Dr. Dogaru Gabriela.

BĂILE TUSNAD
It is located at an altitude of 650 metres in the southern reaches of the Ciuc depression, between the Harghita and Bodoc mountains, in the valley of the Olt, and is nowadays an important spa town known as "Little Switzerland". The town and the surrounding area are famous for their spas and mineral waters received from seven springs. Nearby is the Lake Sfânta Ana , a famous volcanic crater lake, the only one of its kind in Romania.

The most likely date of foundation of this resort of miraculous healing is 1842 when a herdsman's son drew attention to the therapeutic effect of the mineral water, after he started a company limited by shares in order to operate the resort in 1845. Tusnad renowned resort was declared in 1968 European city. About mineral waters in Tusnad area there is written evidence of the eighteenth century, the mentioning the existence of springs with curative effects used by residents of nearby villages.

The resort with various mineral springs, mesothermal and pits is recommended for the treatment of cardiovascular, urinary and nervous system. There are 44 natural springs and boreholes of which are now used six natural springs, of which four (Izv. Stănescu, Apor, Ileana and Mikes) for external treatment. The internal treatment can treat digestive disorders, gastritis hypo and chronic cholecystitis hepatobiliary, metabolic and neuro endocrine.

The baths are recommended for external treatment of cardiovascular diseases, impaired circulation, rheumatic diseases and neurasthenia or overwork, diseases of the locomotor system.

The resort has a treatment center where warm carbonated baths, applications with paraffin, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy, physiotherapy, electrotherapy. The complex is completely equipped and can cure 800 patients per day. Outdoor basin is fed by the waters Spring Baths. Sub-alpine climate, ozone-rich air, rich in aerosols and negative ions makes the resort has a tonic bioclimate, favorable psichical relaxation.
