ESTABLISHMENT OF BALKANSPA INSTITUTE

An initiative of the SPA Associations of Turkey, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. The Board of Founders (BoF) signed the constitution in the Manifesto of BalkanSpa on 20 February 2015 in Belgrade.



Vladan Vešković, Secretary General at Serbian Spa Association unveiled the initiative for the establishment of the BalkanSpa Institute, came from the Spa associations of Turkey, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia.

All four associations equally and severally participate in the formation and operation of BalkanSpa Institute. The order of the name and logos of the association is order of organizing the BalkanSpa Health & Wellness Summit.

The goal of the institute will be to introduce new standards in the Balkan spas. The introduction of a single program for spas in all countries that are the signatories of the agreement will make their position more prominent in the European and world markets.

The establishment of the Balkan Spa Institute was signed for the representatives of the national associations of Spas : Prof. dr. Mufit Zeki Karagülle, Vladan Vešković, Marko Jurakić and Iztok Altbauer.

These four associations make the Board of Founders (BoF) which signed a BalkanSpa Manifesto, event held on 20 de February 2015 in Belgrade.

MANIFIESTO
BalkanSpa Institute mission is a multidisciplinary and includes:

  1. Improvement of methods of prevention, relaxation and medical rehabilitation in the Balkan spas, through clinical and experimental research,
  2. Promotion of the use of natural healing factors in the process above.
  3. Spa classification and introduction of standards in spa services,
  4. In the field of health tourism, to collect all of the common ethnic components of the Balkan countries (traditions, culture, gastronomy, music, customs and certificates tumultuous history) profiling them, and put into use the definition, creation and promotion of new tourist product in Europe - Balkan Spas. We will succeed if we follow all the quality programs of relaxation, prevention, and rehabilitation in our salvation, “packed” in an authentic and intriguing tourist package, and show the rest of the world why we are unique. And why we are together.
    BalkanSpa Institute centers was established in order to efficiently and effectively BalkanSpa Institute. For the operation of each of the centers is responsible team leader of the center. Team leader of each center shall be elected from among the BoF members, at the decision of the BoF. The composition of the members of each of the centers are elected representatives of the countries that writing approaches BalkanSpa Institute.
  • 3.3.1. BalkanSpa Treatment & Medical Research Center performs the following activities:
  • a) Clinical and Experimental Research
  • b) Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation
  • c) Healing Natural Factors
  • d) Specific Spa Treatments
  • e) Spa Classification and Standards
    Team leader is Prof. Dr. Zeki Mufit KARAGÜLLE (Turkey)

  • 3.3.2. BalkanSpa Education & Training Academy performs the following activities:
  • a) Education and Training
  • b) Medical Wellness and Fitness
  • c) Training Certification
  • d) Good Spa Professional Practice
  • e) Spa Classification and Standards
    Team leader is Marko Jurakić (Croatia)

  • 3.3.3. BalkanSpa Health & Wellness Summit performs the following activities:
  • a) Secretariat
  • b) BalkanSpa Quality & Promotion Awards
  • c) Educational Workshops
  • d) Agenda and Sections
    Team leader is Vladan Vešković (Serbia)

  • 3.3.4. BalkanSpa Quality & Promotions Awards performs the following activities:
  • a) Awards & organizing categorization rules
  • b) Marketing & Promotion
  • c) Communication & Networking
  • d) Marketing & Promotion
  • e) EU Funds
    Team leader is Iztok Altbauer (Slovenia)
