THE CPC AND ABINAM BOOSTING THE SECOND SYMPOSIUM OF CRENOLOGY AND MEDICAL HYDROLOGY OF BRAZIL


Spain will participate through the Department of Medical Hydrology of UCM and GRUPO TERMAS.

 

Presidentes de CPC y ABINAMThe Second Brazilian Symposium on Crenology and Medical Hydrology will be held from 13 to October 15, 2010, within the framework of the 19th Brazilian Congress of Industrial Mineral Water, it´s an initiative of the Standing Committee of Crenology of the DNPM supported by ABINAM.

Among its objectives is to value the therapeutic properties of mineral waters and encourage the practice of Thermalism and Health Tourism in the country hydrothermal stays. Besides contributing to the culture of thermalism and medical hydrology in Brazil.

Following the success of the last year first edition, the second scientific meeting will bring together national experts and several from Spain, which is a country with great SPA tradition and experience in the development of thermalism.

In the Symposium will participate as guest speakers, Prof. Dr. Francisco Maraver Eyzaguirre, director of the Professional School of Medical Hydrology and Hydrotherapy, Faculty of Medicine, UCM and the specialist in Health Tourism Dr. Mayte Suárez Santos, editor of TERMAS WORLD and president of the Spanish Association of Friends of Thermae and the GRUPO TERMAS.

The opening of these events will take place on October 13 in SEHRS Hotel, Natal, the official venue for both meetins.

The plenary session will be in charge of Miguel Antonio Cedraz Nery, of National Department of Mineral Production-DNPM, which will release the Proposal of the New Regulatory Framework and the Sector of Mineral and Thermal Waters.

The Global Market Trends and Actions of the Industry leaders is the theme of the lecture given by Richard Hall from ZENITH INTERNATIONAL.

After the official opening of Expo ABINAM'2010 and Waters Bar, the first day will conclude with a workshop on "How to maintain hygienic conditions of the drinkers" by Catureba Silverio da Silva Filho, Chemical Engineer, University Nueve de Julio.

The second day will have a highly technical character and the updating the industry sector of mineral waters. For this reason is expected to tackle issues such as "The Evolution of Soft Drink Market" in charge of Daniela Toledo and "Trends in the Retail Price during growth by Prof. Richard Pastor.

"The Global Market for Bottled Waters: Opportunities and Challenges for new times" will be analyzed by Andrés Padilla of ZENITH INTERNATIONAL. USA. Two technical issues are the lectures taught by Professor José Augusto T. Dominguez, on the "Market Survey on Image of 20 l. containers." and "Mineral water in returnable bottles: Aspects of Health and Environmental Sustainability", by prof. Dr. Petra Sanchez Sanchez of Mackenzie Presbyterian University.

Later there will be a round table on the subject "Sustainability: a case in the logistics of Paraná State Reserve." will take part the speakers, Dr. St. Clair Honorato dos Santos, Dr. Margarete Matos de Carvalho and Luis Roberto dos Santos,. Ending the day with a visit to the Laboratory of Waters of FIERN.

On 15 October there will be the 2nd Brazilian Symposium on Crenology and Medical Hydrology. The session will open with the theme "Thalassotherapy: Properties of Sea Water and Healing Therapies," which will be presented by Prof. Dr. Francisco Maraver Eyzaguirre, director of the Professional School of Medical Hydrology and Hydrotherapy School of Medicine, UCM, Spain.

"The Health Tourism in the Third Millennium: Tourist routes and Current Trends" will be examined by specialist Dr. Mayte Suárez Santos, president of the Spanish Association of Friends of GRUPO TERMAS Spain.
The scientific session will close with the theme "Hemodynamic and Respiratory Changes due to Balneotherapy" by Dr. Mark Untura Filho, National University of Entre Rios-Argentina.

At the end of each session a round of discussions and debates with experts will be oppened.
