THE MINERAL WATERS OF BRASIL, IN TERMATALIA 2006
|
 |
|
Under the labelling and guarantee of quality
granted by ABINAM.
One of the reasons that explains the important growth of TERMATALIA in the
last edition lie in the incorporation of the water considering its aspect of
basic element for the life. So, the final objective was to value the importance
of the water as resource, its use and reasonable management..
In this context was framed one of the activities programmed for Termatalia
2006: The international water taste, where more than 27 marks competed in three
categories. In this sixth edition we had the presence of the Waters of Brazil
whose requirements of international quality are under the scientific supervision
of ABINAM.

The Asociación Brasileña de la Industria de Aguas Minerales (ABINAM) attended
the International Salon with a stand, exhibiting the Brazilian waters and also
in the Bar of Waters, where their original container designs were praised by the
numerous visitors as well as the quality of the natural and gasified waters.
The Brazilian bottlers participating in the fair, had to abide to the
criteria formulated by Dra. Petra Sánchez Sánchez, Chaiman of the Scientific
Committee of ABINAM, among others:
The natural mineral waters packed in PET or glass should have the volumes
ranging from 500 to 510 ml or of 300 to 330 ml. Also to have the International
Certification NSF / Abinam or those that are inscribed in Programs of Abinam.
The companies without certification should present a complete chemical
analyses (chemical, organic and inorganic substances) representing a risk for
the health of people, according to the Resolución RDCnº 274/2005 Anvisa, or NSF,
FDA or of the World Health Organization (WHO/2004). Lastly, the packings will
abide to the requirements for the export.
After a first experience in 2003, where participated a total of 18 waters in
glass container coming from different points of Spain and Portugal. The
International Salon of Thermal Tourism, organized a new edition of water taste,
supervised by the Vigo University, institution that certifies the result of the
tests carried out.
The water test has three categories: Natural (very weak mineralización),
Mineral water (of weak mineralización), Mineral water with natural gas and
treated water. The tests consist of one blind simultaneous taste, under code, of
all the waters. All they are punctuated by each one of the tasters in function
of a preference test, so that through a comparison matrix, the favorite water is
determined.
THERMAL OFFER
Termatalia, International Fair of Thermal Tourism, Thermalism,
Thalassotherapy and SPA, finished its sixth edition after three days of intense
activity which have allowed to check the consolidation of the contest as an
important center of business regarding the thermal sector, at international
level.

The representatives of the 25 countries paticipating in the Salon, have
coincided in underlining the interest of this appointment in order to know the
strategies of planning, development and promotion of the tourism of health that
are carrying out at the present, in the regions of thermal potential.
Many countries of Latin America are included in this circunstance and a large
number of representatives mainly from Argentina, Peru, Brasil, Uruguay were
interested specially in the therapeutic application of the thermal waters.

Regarding the first of the sections, the thermal villages and spas atteding
the fair had the opportunity to meet the most important travel agencies,
especially the ample Argentinean delegation and with the commercial mission of
Chilean tour-operators.
As for the exhibition area, the makers and equipment suppliers, they did his
best to demonstrate that they were aware of the enormous scope open for the use
of water either in therapeutic or aesthetic treatments, offering a wide variety
of novelties.
It is necessary to mention, for example, the flotarium, where the user floats
without any effort due to the water salinity, the beds of water that apply a
session of pressure jets without necessity of being wet or booths that gather up
to six treatments ( Roman Therma, turkish bath, essential oils, mineralization,
ozonotherapy and cromotherapy). Also highlights the continuous growth of the
natural cosmetic, mainly the aromatherapy u tilizing the essential oils of the
plants.
SCIENTIFIC DAYS
The professional chapter was the most outstanding in the fair, carrying out
four scientific days with the water as main character. What has allowed to
extract interesting conclusions, for example, that the great advantage of the
thermalism lie in the combination tourism and health, besides being one strong
emergent sectors, contributing to the growth of the economies where there are
water resources.
The GRUPO TERMAS in its firm bet to contribute to the promotion and diffusion
of the Water Culture, collaborated in the 6ª Edition of TERMATALIA with its team,
highlighting the presence of Prof. Dr. Helmut Pratzel, main adviser for the
magazine online of scientific-thermal divulging, Termas World, and president of
Honour of the International Society of Medical Hydrology and Climatology that
pronounced the inaugural conference of the Days of Medical Hydrology.
The Dr. Philippe Vergnes, President of the French Society of Thermalism and
Thalassotherapy for the Health Buco-Dental and member founder of Termas World,
participated representing the thermal village of Castera-Verduzán in the III
Encounter of Thermal Cities and later on in a session of Medical Hydrology.
On the other hand, the Chairwoman of the publishing group TERMAS, Mayte
Suárez Santos, scientific Journalist specialized in thermalism, co-publisher
with BuscaSalud of
Healthy
Routes and founder of the Spanish Association of Friends of the Thermal
Baths was in charge to carry out the International Forum of Thermal Tourism,
Europa–Latin America.
