FIRST INTERNATIONAL FORUM OF THERMAL TOURISM EUROPE- LATINAMERICA

European and Latin America continents will be represented in the First International Meeting of Thermal Tourism that will take place at the end of October in Expourense, within the framework of the Sixth Edition of Termatalia, International Fair of Tourism, Thermalism, Thalassotherapy and SPA.

In this forum, institutions, employers and universities will be represented and all will have a clear objective: open a debate about the concept, actions, programmes, regulations and mechanism of circulation carried out by both continents.

There will be eight participating countries in the forum, selected from a wide range of subjects covering thermalism and health tourism with its own identity within this new millenium as Mayte Suárez the Chairman of the Association of Hot Baths’Friends indicates. As an international thermalism specialist, Suárez Santos is the Chairman of the Scientist Committee that organizes the forum, in collaboration with Expourense.

The EU countries with thermal tradition, Hungary, France and Czesh Republic, will be represented in this first international meeting. Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Peru will participate representing Latin-America together with delegations of thermal communities from each one. The participation of Israel through thermal-scientific committees is also expected.

Each countries will come to the meeting of Termatalia to make known their plans, Mayte Suárez indicates and she quotes as example the creation of recreational and thematic parks equipped with thermal water, the use of this resource for fitness and beauty, water as a culture element and thermal tourist richness, the recovery of “Hammam” or Arabs Baths, climatotherapy from the therapeutic marketing point of view, the brand image as a mean of promoting the sector or initiative so as to gather thermal cities together in associations of health tourism.

Experiences presented will allow Thermalism in Europa and Latin America to have a real idea of how it’s considered and above all, how countries of this latest continent intend to adapt thermal tourism to tourist needs that is imposing in Europa.

The forum that will take place through a conference divided in sessions of morning and afternoon will aim at health tourism professional, investors, employers in the tourist and thermal sector, tour operators and specialized communication Medias
