The Hospital of Cardiology of

TAGORE PROMENADE
The
city of Balatonfüred was granted the category of healthy place and its sour
waters and springs were declared of medicinal character in the year 1772. The
first doctor specialized in thermalism was József Manes Oesterreicher (1786).
It was in the year 1971 when the city became a reference to the "places of
health."
The city has a beautiful promenade in the bank of the Balaton Lake, named
after the famous hindu poet and thinker Rabindranath Tagore (previously it was
called Promenade Kolos and later on Promenade Deák). The heart illness of the
