TOURIST ?THERMAL PROYECT FOR EGERSZALÓK

|
It will be located in the calcareous hill,
unique of its kind in Hungary.
An analytic study confirms the therapeutic use of the medicinal water of
Egerszalók in Balneotherapy, applied to whose people suffering from sclerosis
múltiple.
The small town of Egerszalók of two thousand inhabitants, at 126 kilometers
to the northeast of Budapest, will be benefited by an spring of medicinal water
whose microchemistry composition is unique in the world. Rubidio and Cesium are
present in the water on the necessary concentrations for a addecuated
Balneotherapy for people affected by multiple sclerosis.
In the year 2004, is foreseen the beginning of works for the exploitation of
the water that sprout at 700 meters depth and 68 deegres temperature. In an
environment of 17,5 hectares, is planned the construction of an Hotel SPA of 320
beds, with Wellness centre. Besides pools with a surface up to 2. 000 square
meters and an artificial lake.
Next to the thermal complex, combining the tourism of health with the
wellness, a small village of single houses, will be built with a capacity for
300 people.
The place where the tourist-thermal complex will be located posseses a great
geologic value since it includes the calcareous hill knowm as Travertine, unique
in Hungary and similar to that of Pamukkale, in Turkey.
This natural phenomenon has been formed during thousands of years due to flow
of medicinal water with high content in salts minerals. The outcrop to the
surface has taken place during last 40 years, due to the oil prospectings. One
in the year 1961 that arrived to the 405 meters deep.
The
second took place in 1987. The water that has between 18.000 and 20 .000 years,
outcrops in both wells without necessity of pumping, only by natural pressure.
There are trazes of 12 essential biological elements, and has been demostrate
that 7 of them have therapeutic effects for the health. Regarding the calcareous
matter deposited by the water it is due to two reasons: in the mouth of the well,
the pressure of CO2 dissolved is bigger than the atmospheric one and a part of
that CO2 escapes to the air, reducing the lime dissolving capacity of the water.
As result a rest of lime separates out.
The other reason of the quick separation is that the hottest water can
retains a higher quantity of salt and when it enters in contact with the aire
become cooler and the "surplus" of lime is separated.
The hill of Travertine of the thermal spring of Egerszalók forms three areas
of Baths, one of them for naturistics. It constitutes an incomparable natural
formation in the whole district and their white and smoky cone presents a
panoramic view of great tourist attractiveness among the dark pines of the
thermal environment.
The microchemistry composition of the water is unique worldwide, precisely
that is what has increase the therapéutic value of the hot spring of
Egerszalók. It has become a very valued source of medicinal water. A
circumstance that may raise the economy and the tourism of this small village up
to international level.
The analylisis carried out in 1989 determined the category of this spring and
its possible worldwide repercussion since the water favours the therapéutic
treatment of physical discapacities and "sclerosis in badges" (MS).
Rubidio and Cesium are present in the water in the necessary concentrations
to aply the Balneotherapy on affected people of multiple sclerosis. There is
only another spring of these characteristics, that of Gornja Trepca, in Serbian,
old Yugoslavia that is not opened at the present time.
The bottled water of Egerszalók is also beneficial for the treatment of this
degenerative illness. A bottling plant has commercialized this type of table
water for more than two years.
In 1992 the medicinal water of Egerszalók, with a temperature of 68 degrees
C was declared of therapeutic utility. Since then, a study of viability was
carried out to create a thermal and hotel industry complex, in order to enhance
the qualities of the hot spring and the natural environment.
The village of Egerszalók is located in the County of Heves, near Eger. It
doesn't have railroad station but the highways of several direcciones make it
very accessible by bus or private transport. Buses of scheduled service toward
Eger make easy to come from Budapest, Miskolc, Mezokövesd and the Hills of
Matra.
It is famous and historical its church (1738) that keeps an image in the
altar that has transform Egerzalocz into a popular place of pilgrimage, the
village is as well knowm by its excellent wines.
