PROF. DR. HELMUT PRATZEL, SCIENTIFIC ADVISER OF TERMAS WORLD

President of Honour of the I.S.M.H. has been
honoured with the "Bundesverdienstkreuz is Bande" 2003, of the Federal
Republic of Germany.
Considered the "Father the World Thermalism", the Prof. Dr. Helmut Pratzel,
President of Honour of the International Society of Medical Hydrology and
Climatology (I.S.M.H.) and recently honoured with the "Bundesverdienstkreuz is
Bande" 2003, he will form an essential part, as main scientific adviser of
Termas World, first electronic divulging publication specialized in Thermalism
and Thalassotherapy, pertaining to the GRUPO EDITORIAL TERMAS.
The outstanding personality of the Dr. Pratzel, his academic, professional
and scientific trajectory and his decisive importance as promoter of the Places
of Health and the necessity of deepening in the creation of a Balneotherapy with
a medical basis , it was recognized by the Bavarian minister, Edmund Stoiber, at
the homage in wich the highest distinction of the German Federal Republic was
delivered to him.
Academic
Director of the Medical Balneology and Climatology Institute of the University
of Munich, for twenty years, and at the present Professor of Physical Medicine,
Balneology and Climatology of the University of Ludwig-Maximilians of Munich,
the Dr. H.Pratzel accepted the proposal of being integrated in the team of
collaborators as main adviser, in the course of the XXXIV Congress of the
International Society of Medical Hydrology (I.S.M.H.) celebrated in Hungary
being Dr. Pratzel the Chairman.
The World Congress of Thermalism, was coincidental with the presentation of
the interactive edition of Healthy Routes in the media, under the title "The
perspectives of the Turism of Health as tourist product by means of the design
of Thermal Routes as therapy to combat the stréss."
The exhibition of the Healthy Routes in this event of great relevance, is a
recognition to a continuous work of investigation in the design of Thermal
Routes carried out by its publisher, Mayte Suárez Santos and supported by the
team of specialists in tourism, health, enviroment, and historians from Spain,
France and Portugal.
Doctor Josefina San Martín Bacaicoa, Professor of Medical Hydrology of the
Faculty of Medicine of the University Of Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, the Dr.
Philippe Vergnes, President of the French Society of Thermalism and
Thalassotherapy for the Buco-dental Health and María G. Souto Figueroa, Doctor
in Chemical Sciences and the Dr. Mario G. Carneiro, Medical Director of the
Caldas of Chaves that integrate the Team of scientific collaborators of Termas
World, were taking part with important scientific contributions, in this
international encounter, in Heviz, the important european thermal city.
The Healthy Routes co-published by Termasworld.com and BuscaSalud.com, as
innovative tourist product, it is being applied in countries such as Argentina
that has a great riches of mineral- medicinal waters and an emergent tourist
potential in the whole thermal corridor , in the Uruguay border.
This
tourist model was presented in the course of the first Congreso Nacional Turismo
Salud that took place in Termas de Rio Hondo, in September of 2001. In that
occasion, Mayte Suárez Santos, specialist in Thermalism and Thermal
Administration and Prof. Dr. Helmut Pratzel, President of the I.S.M.H., of
Germany were invited as lectures to expose the tendencies of the European
thermalism.
Founder and President of the German Section of the International Society of
Medical Hydrology and Climatology and the German Society of Places of Health and
Balneo Treatment, the Prof. Pratzel has contributed to promote the creation of
an independent specialty in Medicine for the Places of Health directed to the
prevention, treatment and medical rehabilitation of the chronic illnesses.
With the illustrious German scientist's incorporation, teacher of several
generations of outstanding specialists in Medical Hydrology, Termas World is
present as electronic magazine of scientific popularization of the Thermalism
and Thalassotherapy, in the website of the I.S.M.H. Also, it is credited with an
icon in the sections of Spas of the official web of National Tourism of Hungary
in Spain and in the website of the Municipal Camera of Chaves (Portugal)
