HUNGARY PRESENTS IN FITUR 2004 THE ROUTE THROUGH THE WESTERN
TRANS-DANUBE

The Healthy Route that begins in Budapest,
city of Royal Spas, concluding in Héviz with the biggest lake of thermal water
in Europe.
Under the motto "A Healthy Tourism", Hungary presented at the International
Fair of Tourism (FITUR) that took place from 28th of January until 1st of
February in Madrid, one of the most important tourist circuits in thermal
patrimony and emblemátic SPA cities such as Bük, Sárvár and Héviz, located
in the greennest region in the magiar country, the Western Trans-Danube.
This
part of Hungary has border with four countries: Slovakia, Austria, Slovenia and
Croacia, extended from the Lake Fertó which is part of the National Park Fertó?Hansag,
to the Lake Balatón, considered the "Sea of Hungary" and the biggest one in
Central and Western Europe.
The Healthy Route through the Western Trans-Danube is an exceptional
experience for the specialists in the new thermalism tendencies. Gyór, one of
the three biggest cities of Hungary and winner of the Europe Award due to its
protection to the monuments, having a thermal and entertainment park at the
heart of its Baroque city.
Bükfürdó,
one of the most important spas in Hungary, located in the northwestern part of
the county of Vas, in the union of the Small Plain and the lower part of the
Alps. The city is visited by 840.000 people a year. The therapeutic water of
Bük sproud from a depth of 1282 meters, with 55şC temperature and its thermal
water has a high content of calcium, magnesium and fluorine, besides of carbon
dioxide.
This thermal complex extretched for a territory of 13 hectares and there are
19 pools, a Phisiotherapéutic Institute where all the rehabilitation therapies
are applied, the comfort of a recreation park, a modern camping site and a
Conventions Centre.

the remodeling of its spa becoming an immense thermal complex that offers modern
services of traditional and natural medicine. The therapeutic water with
hidrocarbonates of alkaline elements and sodium chloride, is suitable for bony

HÉVIZ, THE CITY OF THE WATER
The
of biggest lake of thermal water in Europe and the only one in the world that
