HÉVIZ, HEADQUARTERS OF THE WORLD TOURISM OF HEALTH

In Coincidence with the Hungary admission as
member of the European Union, the city of Hévíz will welcome the 1st.
INTERNATIONAL HEALTH TOURISM EXPO AND CONFERENCE that will take place the days 8
? 9th May 2004.
The
encounter of the world tourism main objetive is to make knowm the possibilities
of this emergent sector in the field of the health, beauty and well-being as
well as the opportunities to introduce and to show their products, services and
activities, in the new millennium.
The International Health Tourism Expo is specially designed to offers
presence for two perfectly defined sectors: the area of the health and hotels
Wellness, spas, thermal villages, thermal complex and the area of well-being
through balneotherapy and beauty, the thermal cosmetology and the specialized
tourist services.
The well-being will have the exhibitors pertaining to different fields;
medical institutions; beauty products, fitness and natural therapies promoting a
healthy lifestyle; travel agencies specialized in health tourism, nature and
free time; professional associations, sanitary organizations and foundations and
institutions dedicated to the health education.
It is expected the participation of municipalities with thermal stations and
thermal associations as well as the representatives of international firms of
thermal cosmetic.
The Director of the National Office of Tourism of Hungary in Spain, Mr.
József Németh, highlighted the importance of the Expo of Heviz and the fact
that its presentation is being well welcomed by all those sectors implied in the
health tourism and well-being, keeping in mind that Hungary is a country with a
great thermal patrimony in spas, springs of minero-medicinal water and hotel-wellness,
and that the emblemátic city of Héviz, with the bigger lake of thermal water
of Europe, will be the headquarters.
THE CONFERENCE
The
event will take place in the Town Sport Hall, The Conference Hall of the Local
Government. The Expo will be the opened by the conference, on Saturday 8th May
2004.
The Conference thematic program picks up the current tendencies from this
sector that is getting ready to assume the demands of the health tourism for the
new millennium. Among the topics that will be presented in the informative
panels, it is necessary to highlight those aimed toward the competitiveness and
the tourist attractiveness, the binomial medicinal water and MUDS as thermal
therapy.
The health tourism in Europe, the Ayurveda as treatment in centres of well-being,
the present and the future of the health education and the role of the the
hotels-wellness in the society of the well-being.
This important international event includes a program of complementary
activities related to the new healthy lifestyles, workshops of cosmetic,
aeróbic, shops of biological products and healthy feeding. Without a doubt, an
attractive incentive that the visitors of the first international Expo will
enjoy
HEVIZ
La EXPO Internacional de Turismo de Salud presenta además el atractivo de la
ciudad anfitriona Hévíz, conocida internacionalmente por poseer en sus
alrededores el lago volcánico de agua termal más grande de Europa con 47.000
metros cuadrados de extensión. Tiene forma de embudo , llegando a 45 metros de
profundidad en el centro, donde surgen las aguas calientes que, al llegar a la
superficie, se mantienen en unos 35 grados en verano y 26 en invierno.
El agua del lago tiene varios miles de años y se alimenta de fuentes
kársticas. Por su alto contenido en azufre, bajos índices en radón , con
hidrocarbonatos y elementos alcalinos, está indicada para el tratamiento de
patologías musculares y reumáticas. Debido a su elevada mineralización tiene
un extraordinario valor terapéutico. También son curativos los lodos del fondo
del lago. En época estival, los nenúfares cubren el lago y ofrecen una
espléndida estampa del lugar.
Héviz dará la bienvenida a sus visitantes mostrando su riqueza termal y
toda la belleza de sus jardines adornados con esculturas que mejoran su aspecto
de ciudad ecológica , distinguida en 1998 , con la medalla de plata premio "Europa
Florida".
